(the links listed will navigate you away from our site)RomaniaMoney that is received through our Missions stalls is taken direct to workers in churches in Romania who work with the street children. They provide food for them and houses for some of them. This money is channelled through INCARE. IndiaLadies Tailoring School - this church based project is in a poor region of Southern India and seeks to teach ladies (often widows with no means of income) tailoring and other skills to help them provide for their families. This project helps them to gain status in society and a trade. Some of the goods produced are sold through Christian agencies such as Tearfund. Full Gospel Bible College - individual church members sponsor students at this college in Southern India, who after graduating go into full time Christian ministry - some going to remote villages or unreached areas. Calcutta Mercy Mission - individuals also give to the feeding programme in Calcutta that provides meals for thousands of children every day. See also www.buntain.org Donations for India charities are channelled through World Christian Ministries KenyaWe support Testimony Faith Homes in Eldoret. They care for children whose parents have died from AIDS, been abandoned or found on rubbish tips. They are taken in and cared for in these Christian homes. The children are educated to university standard or taught a trade. IsraelWe have those within the church family who support various charities working with and for the Jewish people - projects such as Ebenezer Emergency Fund, Joseph Storehouse, Prayer for Israel, Bridges for Peace and Exodus. Persecuted ChurchWe support the ministries of: Christian Solidarity Worldwide - who provide support and advocacy to those being persecuted for their faith Open Doors - who run teaching seminars for church leaders and provides Bibles and Christian materials for those in persecuted areas Barnabas Fund - who provide humanitarian aid to needy Christians in Islamic countries Donations are sent to these charities from missions fund (when possible), given to visiting speakers and when we have special appeals. Individuals also give support by writing letters and signing petitions when appropriate. |
